Small things

We pop into town this morning to visit the post office.
The boys were very well behaved and helping me out, anyways.. there was a lady in front of us and seriously she had the nicest shoes on!
Brae let out a little giggle -  Piper being true to the class clown and the lady turned around and smiled.
So I told her "Oh I love your shoes!"
Her grin just got bigger!
Not thinking anything of it and getting taken up with watching these two clowns entertain the queue, that lady came back to me after she had been serve and thanked me again for my comment about her shoes.
Something so small and sometimes un-noticed I commented on. It made her day!

How many times do I overlook the small things. There is so much love, joy and happiness in doing and acting upon something so small.

When we returned home from our trip away in November last year, in amongst all the mail was this parcel.
This kind heart lady had sent me just a 'lil' something totally out of the blue. This totally made my day! I was so taken up with washing, folding, unpacking and settling back into routine - it's not always easy but yet that 'lil' something she send just made me smile for weeks! Every time I collect the mail I still today think of that parcel and the little handwritten note.

anyways.. I have been thinking more about the small things. All the little things that make my day up, the little things that make me smile and giggle, the little things the boys find fun and joy in!
After all its the little things that make up the big picture uh!

I wanted to document a little message for Brae here. I want him to find courage everyday and have fun each and every day! These 2 things only need to be small, and can be found in the smallest of small things.

I was lucky enough to get the January Mini kit from Polly this week to play and have fun with. It was a great to start the mojo off! Needless to say Brae eye-spy the planes on the paper when I opened the box that all he wanted to do was " scissors Mum!" Think he has been watching his Mummy cut and paste!! tee hee

Polly is actually guesting this month at Get Picky - an awesome challenge site and super dupa awesome sketch too this month!

There is a little Tutorial that I posted on the Polly blog this week about how I created this simply background.

I am so grateful for all those little things in life because I know without the little things I wouldn't have this beautiful life!

Happy Thursday!
apologises for the font size etc and colours of the pages, we still don't have a PC and I cant seem to get it all right on this laptop!
